We’ve implemented a rolling 2-week data window on our Testnet Indexer to optimize performance (industry standard practice).
What’s Changing:
- Wallet Transaction History: Your wallet will show transaction count and history from the past 2 weeks (up to 6,000 transactions displayed)
- Wallet Asset Listings: Your wallet displays tokens/coins active in the last 2 weeks. When you interact with older assets, they immediately reappear in your list
- Task History: Your registered tasks and automated transactions will show the last 2 weeks of activity
What’s NOT Changing:
- Mainnet = ZERO impact (all mainnet data remains forever)
- Global search still works for ANY historical testnet data
- Modules and resources display normally as they’re fetched from live on-chain state.
- You can still search any testnet transaction/block/address ever created
Mainnet dApps Impact::
None. This is testnet-only maintenance. Your live mainnet dApps are completely unaffected.
What would this mean for Devs:
- Faster Performance: - Significantly improved load times on Suprascan
- Better Stability: Reduced infrastructure load = more reliable testing environment
- Cleaner Testing: Focus on current development without UI clutter from old test data
TL;DR: We’re making testnet faster and more stable while keeping all your important data searchable. Mainnet untouched. Standard practice across the industry.
